PREPARATION
Preparing for your waxing or beauty service can help ensure a smoother and more comfortable experience. Here are some general guidelines for preparing for your service:

Consultation and Appointment:
Schedule your appointment in advance to ensure availability. Consider scheduling a consultation to discuss your needs and any specific concerns.
Hair Length (FOR WAXING):
Ensure that your hair is the appropriate length for waxing, typically about 1/4 inch (the length of a grain of rice).
If necessary, trim excessively long hair before your appointment.

Skin Condition:
Make sure your skin is clean and free of oils, lotions, or makeup before your service. Exfoliate the area to be treated a day or two before your appointment to help prevent ingrown hairs.
Hydration:
Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your service to keep your skin hydrated, which can make the waxing process more comfortable.

Pain Management:
If you're concerned about pain, consider taking an over-the-counter pain reliever about 30 minutes before your appointment, as recommended by your provider. Some salons offer numbing creams or gels that can be applied before waxing for added comfort.

Clothing:
Wear comfortable clothing to your appointment, and choose something that allows easy access to the area being treated.
Loose-fitting clothing is ideal to avoid friction on the freshly waxed skin afterward.
Avoid Sun Exposure:
Avoid sun exposure and tanning beds for at least 3-5 days before your service to prevent skin sensitivity and potential burns.
Sunburned or irritated skin should not be waxed or done chemical peels or microneedling on.
Timing:
Plan your appointment when you have enough time afterward to relax and avoid any activities that might cause sweating or delaying your recovery.
Don't schedule your waxing, dermaplaning, chemical peel, and eyebrow services immediately before a special event or vacation, as there may be temporary redness or irritation.

AHA's and BHA's:
Please avoid using any AHA's and BHA's 3-5 days before your waxing, dermaplaning, chemical peel, and microneedling, and eyebrow services as this can cause irritation. Discontinue the use of retinol creams 5-7 days before your appointment.
Medications and Allergies:
Please inform us of any medications you're taking, as some medications can affect your skin's sensitivity. Mention any allergies or skin conditions you have to ensure appropriate products are used.

Pregnancy/Nursing:
Please do not book eyebrow services if you are pregnant or lactating because laying down for a long period of time can cause discomfort.
